Introducing PinballX 2.50, GameEx and GameEx Arcade Edition 15.00 Big updates for the season. These are mainly performance improvement related releases with general optimizations to key functions as well as rendering and the executable compiles. This should hopefully result in better FPS and speed improvements throughout although obviously it will be more noticeable on lower end machines. With GameEx several other areas have been improved for performance such as the Jukebox, loading Game Info, the Movie Library and getting Meta Data. In addition the YouTube feature is now working again and the Movie Library has been improved significantly. Getting Meta Data for the movie library is now much quicker to and downloading music artist and album images is working again. I also made the decision to make the Media Library and DVD/BluRays on disk features free for all users and no longer a registered version feature. I am toying with the idea of releasing a sub version of GameEx without gaming features, purely as a free HTPC solution. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Im an autohotkey guy.... Download autohotkey. create a text file, put this in the txt file. ui +AlwaysOnTop -Caption +ToolWindow -border Gui Color, 0 Gui, Show, % "w" 6000 " h" 3000, Black Screen Sleep 16000 GUI Destroy exitapp save it, change the extension to .ahk, then right click and you will see compile script....this will create your .exe set this as a launch before in your pbx settings, this is what i use for VPX. The sleep command is how long you want the black screen to show, 16000 = 16 secs, you can adjust this based on how fast your tables load.1 point

you might want to start with the individual emulators first, PBX is just the front end that launches the emulators cleanly. You must first get the tables to run outside of PBX before you use PBX to launch the tables. Install future pinball and VPX for starters, then get the table to launch first.1 point

I really like this frontend. I was able to get it up with logo artwork within minutes. I'm familiar with GameEX, so i'm ahead of the game a bit, but still simple for a newcomer. My only gripe is that Pinball FX2 is getting increasingly frustrating to setup. I've spent 4 days searching for answers and trying different things, only for it to still load to the table selection screen. For this continuing reason, I give it 3 stars for now. Pinball FX2 is my main interest. It has the best physics of any other pinball sim, and has some really good tables. Excalibur, World War Hulk and South Park are some of the top I must have.0 points
