  4. Nice improvement Den! Although by far not even in the same league as the top players, i have made some interesting findings and feel i should share them. Firstly, don't grab the "yellow" angels/fairies (i dunno what to call them). If you let them drift "offscreen" then the next one that apears is worth double! And you can keep doing this! Each time it reappears it will be a different color, and with give a much better multiplier What i've been trying to do is grab the "angels" right before a major enemy spawn! For instance on the first level, you will get many enemies spawning from the RED things on the ground (near the end) - don't destroy them! Pick up an angel and stay high on the screen! They will keep spawning giving you nice points. The same thing happens on level 2. Out of the garbage shoots! Don't destroy them, pick up an angel and go nuts! Of course the skill is missing the angels, and then grabbing them at the right point - something i haven't nailed yet. But y'all may

  5. Welcome to the forums BTW earthprime While you may have stumbled upon a glitch with the latest install (thanks for making us aware of it!) I feel i should give some pointers in manual emulator installation, and GameEx integration. While GX does a great job of downloading and extracting Emu's to directories that GX will by default monitor, you should be aware that downloading from official websites, and manually configuring emulators to suit your needs and system is much more efficient, not least because you will not only get to know the emulator itself on a more in depth level, but also how GameEx works too. I'm trying hard not to preach, but when you know how GameEx really works, you'll realize exactly how powerful it is. It can run not only Emu's, but literally ANYTHING that can be run from a commandline Of course none of that means you have to do anything manually - we're here to help everyone There's no harm in making you aware though, right?

  7. Thanks This is how I was able to boost my score... * Defeat the level's boss by (almost) constantly using "charge" * Learn the level mechanics and don't lose any lives before reaching the boss ! * Just play the game more often I can now beat level 1 without losing a life. Usually I lose my first life at the end of level 2 when I try to defeat the boss. * Defeat level 2 - boss by starting to shoot at his "tail" * ...still learning

  8. Hi earthprime, and welcome! Whenever I see weird full-stop errors like this, my first advice is to simply re download the installer and re-install. An in place re-installation should be fine. You may have already tried this out, but in the event that you haven't, definitely try to give it a shot. Regarding the download issues, I'm wondering if it may not be related to the recent creation of the official GameEx repository created recently in the Downloads section. This move is being made in preparation for the upcoming release of GameEx Evolution. It may be that GameEx is trying to retrieve files from an older location in which the source files are no longer present. I don't have a whole lot of 'insider knowledge' regarding the new repository, but I figured I'd mention it as a possibility, in the event that someone else does.

  11. Ok I think this will be the final version for my Atari 2600 Bezel with Instruction Cards!! This is made for HDTV's @ 1920x1080 with RocketLauncher installed. I really like how this turned out. Now I can move forward and start working on each game theme, bezel and instruction cards now that I have the layout done. More cool things coming....
