let's try to make it a bit easier for tom and narrow the bug down...
freq, can you use the queue mode function or is that not working for you either?

Just tried and no luck with the way you suggested. That is of course I did it the right way. I select Queue Mode, select some songs, then click Start Karaoke?

Ive tried to increase performance even further. By the look of your log once cached it looks like about 35 second. The attached should hopefully be quicker.

Can you try it please and post the log?

Thanks

i just updated to 9.62 but still no luck with instant play and karaoke. now tom i don't wnat to annoy you with this problem...
if there is anything else I could try out, please let me know.
How do I reinstall gameex? Just uninstall completetly, then replace the gameex.ini? or am I missing something then? could this even change anything?

Yes Tom that was the fix! Figured it out a few days ago. And told Chriss I had a fix for him. I didn't post cuz no one else seemed to be having the issue or was into the karaoke thing. LOL.

Good. Ive set GameEx to turn that off in the registry everytime it launches. So theres not even a need to add a FAQ item now.

Nice. Thanks Tom! I wish we could have figured it out for Chriss a lot sooner since he's the one who really needed it for this karaoke parties.

Hey guys,

i wish i could report success, but i still have the same issue :(
wmp plays cdg files fine but when i try to click on a song in gameex it's not doing anything. a strange thing i noticed... in setup wizard i set gameex to instantly play songs but inside gameex its set to queue mode. anyway queue mode works fine but when i set it to instant play selection inside gameex it does not work

I guess something is wrong with my whole setup... everything else like emulators and radio and so forth works
but when i updated to the newest version i got an error message about a missing hiscore txt file in the gameex data folder. i fixed this issue by creating the file... if there was just a similar easy way to fix karaoke

I had that same problem when updating to the newest version as well. I just did a manual install and it took care of it. Not sure if that will help with your karaoke issue but here's hoping.

Chriss,

This may well be fixed in the latest version. Can you try?

I had the same issue and fix it by adjusting the following gameex.ine file to be 0 instead of 1.

JukeQueueMode=0
