Here is my version of the dutch language file. I think it has all the updates in it. I used the German and English files to translate to Dutch. After that I checked it in GameEx and it looks good.

Please let me know if there are things I missed or if you need any other lines translated.

Bit.

edit: minor change to the translation

If anyone has got any updated translations, can you please email them to me or post here. Current time of posting we are at GameEx 8.47. So need from say 8.xx onwards..

The thing is most of them are really out of date now. Even if you have updated someone elses, Im sure they wont mind as its for the good of all.
Hello there, first of many posts from me I expect. I've had GameEx running on my mamecab for just about a year now, and feel experienced enough to finally contribute to this fine front end.

I just finished an upgrade of my arcade pc, both hardware and software got an overhaul. On that occasion I updated the danish language file to the newest version 8.78, attached below. This is a complete translation, I even translated the karaoke stuff, even though I don't run this on my cab. So if any of the danish users here observe any inconsistencies, please let me (or Tom) know. :)

I've found a lot of help here on the forum, so I hope I can give a little back with some of the experience I've obtained over the last year.

Thanks Tom for a superb front end, and thanks to all in the community who contributed up till now. :)

EDIT: I missed a few var's in the v8.78 ".ini", updated file uploaded.

New and Improved UltraStik Plugin

Since I generally do not have an original thought of my own, I decided to improve upon someone else's (Cupid's).

I have been using Cupid's UltraStik Plugin for quite some time but have not been fully satisfied with it. The configuration is cumbersome. Programs have to reside within specific directories. Plus, I did not quite have full rein over my UltraStiks within the awesome GameEx front-end. Therefore, I started coding one myself.

I now bestow upon all of you the New and Improved UltraStik Plugin which is Plug-in-Play.

Features:
  • Top 8 used joystick maps are built-in without need of external UltraMap (.um) files.
    • joy2way - 2-way horizontal joystick
    • vjoy2way - 2-way vertical joystick
    • joy4way - 4-way joystick
    • djoy4way - 4-way diagonal joystick
    • joy8way - 8-way joystick
    • joy8wayeasy - 8-way joystick with easy diagonals
    • analog - analog joystick (used for 49-way as well)
    • mouse - acts like a PC mouse
  • For MAME users, it automatically selects the appropriate joystick map.
  • Any rom's chosen joystick map can be overridden through use of accompanied INI file.
  • Works not just with MAME, but all configured emulators, allowing a default joystick map for each one.
  • Supports external UltraMap (.um) files.
  • Allows customization of joystick map chosen upon exit of GameEx as well as a game.
  • Does not require MAME to be installed at a specific location.
  • Does not require UltraMap unless you want to create your own specific joystick maps.
Installation:
Download and extract the PlugInUltraSkip.zip to your GameEx\PLUGINS directory. Open up GameEx's Plugin Manager and enable this plugin. For most users, this is all you need to do. For those who are picky, move on to the next section.

Configuration:
If you want to start overriding or customizing the plugin's settings, open up the PlugInUltraStik.ini file within your GameEX\PLUGINS directory and start editing with a text editor. All instructions on how to customize your settings reside within that file; so, check it out.

Any problems or questions, just let me know. B)

UPDATE: 10/04/2007
* Fixed bug where restrictor was assumed on (now off)
* Changed design because of permission problems

From Microfrost:

Hi,

I have just created a plugin for (LCDstudio). It uses the same values as with Toms LCDsmartie plugin. The major difference with LCDstudio is that it's made for graphical LCDs rather then charactor based ones that LCDsmartie uses. As it reads the same registry values as Toms plugin you will need the registered version.

I've attached it to this post for download. It's tested on my XP cab but should be no reason for it not to work in Vista to.

Any feedback is appriciated and I hope it's of use to some people.

Thanks
Chris

There are some words which are not included in the INI language-file.

How do I publish the translation?

The words come when you update mame-list

creating listinfo.dat
getting...
processing...
adding to gamelist
writing...
reading...
