Hey guys, here are the console mpg files I created for the most popular consoles. This is nearly a 40MB file, because I can't seem to make anything smaller than an MPEG-1 file work in GameEx. I am not 100% happy with all of these, mostly due to the source material, but some of them came out great (GBA).

Console Videos
Includes:
PSX (2 versions)
TurboGrafx
2600
GBA/NES/SNES/N64
Genesis/SegaCD/SMS (2 versions)

I forgot to add the pinball avi to the zip, I may add it seperately later...
PIII-850mhz, 384MB, 60GB, ArcadeVGA, J-PAC, XP-Pro, GameEx frontend in an arcade cabinet with 19" arcade monitor
MAME, Daphne, Zinc, NES/SNES/N64/GBA, SMS/GG/Genesis/SegaCD/32X, TurboGrafx, PSX.

Heres our regular Night`s first theme. I say first as I hope to see more :) .

This theme also contains a lot of good logos, night kindly did, that you can use with other themes if you wanted to.

Night is also working on some backgrounds for various emulators. I hope to work with him soon and add support for GameEx to have different backgrounds for different emulators. Its actually me that's holding thing up on this. Keep on the forums for more news.

http://uploads.tomspeirs.com/files/Default...20Theme%201.zip

Install to your themes directory. Normally
C:\program files\gameex\themes

Thanks Night!

Tom.

Here's my first try to create some emulator-logo's.. I'm not a photoshop-expert so it's very basic at the moment; but in a few days I'm gonna work on a new & cooler set B)

I have some snapshots I made of my N64 and NES games. The filenames are standard Good Utilities names (Zophar.net). I generated these snapshots by hand so they show the main title screen for most games.

The 290 N64 snaps are here: http://parametric.org/~gte024h/N64.zip (13.0MB)
The 751 NES snaps are here: http://parametric.org/~gte024h/NES.zip (2.48MB)

The N64 snapshots are in JPG format at 640x480x32bpp. The NES snapshots are in PNG format at 256x240x8bpp (native resolution).

I'm working on snapshots for my other (mostly complete) ROM sets, including GBA games, Sega Genesis, Game Gear, and Sega Master System. When I get them done, I'll post links here. I don't have snaps for alternate, overdump, pirate, hacked, public domain, trained, or non-English games... sorry but they have no place in my collection(s).

New Soul Calibur Theme

Don't know if anyone would be interested in this since it's not really a retro arcade game, but it's the theme of my cab so I made it for that. I don't mind sharing if anyone wants it, although I have nowhere to host it.

CreateThreadOnImage=True can help limit a slight pause in the background video when a snap is shown on some systems.

BTW It's 50.5 MB because it uses a movie background like the Tron and Galaxian themes.

Dug out the old Odyssey 2 and created a console pic for the GameEx default theme. Wasn't sure what size to make it so went large.

Enjoy! :)

Here is the GameEx instruction card I created for my Xybots MAME cabinet. It uses iconography to show how the GameEx controls work (I'm using an IPAC). Example: Holding down the red button and moving the joystick right moves to next letter of alphabet in a list of games. I've included the Photoshop file so you can modify for your own needs. Enjoy!

I've made a new theme entitled, "The Women We Love to Play". I've uploaded it to Mr. Speirs so hopefully sometime soon it'll appear on this site. In the meantime you can check out some pictures at my web site:

http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/download/Defau...20To%20Play.exe
warning: one picture contains very mild nudity.

if there is a system you'd like me to make a background for, let me know.
