[RESOLVED] Emulador FS-UAE in Gameex

Recommended Posts

Currently I use this emulator to two systems: Commdore CDTV and Amiga CD32.

The current version of the emulator is 2.6.2

My command lines for each system are:

fs-uae.exe --fullscreen=1 --amiga-model=CDTV --joystick-port-0-mode=joystick --cdrom-drive-0="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

fs-uae.exe --amiga-model=CD32 --joystick-port-0-mode="cd32 gamepad" --fullscreen=1 --cdrom-drive-0="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

After the last update of this emulator system Commodore CDTV can no longer start the game. Certainly the command line needs updating.

I did some tests using the emulator alone and then the emulator with GameEx. Moments in some games running on the emulator alone do not work when I try to run it by GameEx.I speak of the two systems (Commdore CDTV and Amiga CD32.).

Does anyone here use this emulator? And could you tell me which command lines are suitable for each of them?

COMMODORE CDTV.ini

You may want to try the following command lines:

For Commodore Amiga CD-32 fs-uae.exe --amiga-model=CD32 --joystick-port-0-mode="cd32 gamepad" --fullscreen=1 --cdrom-drive-0="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
For Commodore CDTV fs-uae.exe --fullscreen=1 --amiga-model=CDTV --joystick-port-0-mode=joystick --cdrom-drive-0="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

I wanted to make a request.

I did a search emulators that can run the AMIGA CD32 systems, and Commodore CDTV, and found this emulator, the FS-UAE
site: http://fs-uae.net/

In my opinion, this was the best emulator that I found to run the AMIGA system. It is simple, has a friendly interface, and the graphics in the game and the sound are excellent.

But there is a problem. As in the MAME emulator, the FS-UAE emulator possesses a file to launch the program and another file to be used from the command line in GameEx to start.
This means that some settings that make the file to launch is not used when running another executable file. I can not say what it is. But many games do not work when I try to run this emulator through GameEx.

My request is:
You could create some kind of file to launch to enable the settings in the emulator is used at the time that we run through GameEx?

AMIGA CD 32.ini

COMMODORE CDTV.ini

GameEx.ini

Actually yes.

The command line suggested by you is exactly the same that I use.

I suggested a new topic create a launcher because something is failing when using the front end GameEx with this system.

I entered the emulator manufacturer's website.

The link above contains the command lines for use in the FS-UAE emulator.

But some games that run directly on the emulator does not run through the GameEx. Use the same command line in two games. One of them works and or other not. Then I go directly that it did not work and it runs perfectly.

I went ahead and merged the two topics into the first one you had open. If the command lines are not running the games via GameEx, please be sure to include your log.txt file as well as runitgame.bat from when you attempted to run the game and the error occured.

As for creating a launcher, likely that is something that will not be done for GameEx proper. I am sure there are others using this emulator for the same systems that may have an idea as to why this isn't working out for you.

Problem solved guys.
The command line shown at the beginning of this post is correct.
I spoke with the developer of the FS-UAE emulator.
The problem in a nutshell was: When you are setting up this emulator it has a default directory of roms files needed to run the emulator. But we ourselves can define other directories. I do not know why, the directory defined by us will only work when we run the executable file "Launcher".
If we execute the file must be in GameEx command line, the directory of Kickstarts defined by us will not be accessed.
In short: I put the Kickstars files in the default directory of the emulator and everything started working.
Here is the message that desenvolverdor sent me:
. "Hi, it looks like you are using two (separate portable directories) In this setup, FS-UAE will look for the Kickstart ROM files in D: \ Games \ EMULATORS \ CD Amiga 32 \ FS UAE \ Kickstarts and D: \ Games \ EMULATORS \ Commodore CDTV \ FS UAE \ Kickstarts, respectivamente. Your problems are Likely Caused by missing kickstarts In These directories.
(When you launch FS-UAE from FS-UAE Launcher, the system is more flexible, the FS-UAE Launcher can find the kickstart file scanned in the database, and tell FS-UAE where to find Them, if necessary). "

I recommend anyone who uses the AMIGA system to use this emulator.
The developer of it is a nice and helpful guy. He took away all my doubts.
I doubt any you've just access the emulator forum or talk directly to the developer through this link:
Thank you very much Draco1962 and all who have tried to somehow help me!! :D

The only filter that I have for them systems that use the FS-UAE are:

AMIGA CD32: *.iso
COMMODORE CDTV: *.iso
my current command line are:
AMIGA CD32:
fs-uae.exe --amiga-model=CD32 --joystick-port-0-mode="cd32 gamepad" --fullscreen=1 --keep_aspect = 1 --cdrom-drive-0="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
COMMODORE CDTV:
fs-uae.exe --fullscreen=1 --amiga-model=CDTV --joystick-port-0-mode=joystick --keep_aspect = 1 --cdrom-drive-0="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
