Hi this is my first post and my first configuration of GameEx so forgive me if this question is answered before...I attempted to use the forum search feature before posting.

So I have GameEx installed and working well. I have also succesfully configured 3 emulators in GameEx. fceux, snes9x and fusion are all working great... so i moved onto epsx and pcsx2 and not having any luck with either. I have configured pcsx2 and it is running in windows fine. I have been using pcsx2 for a few years so no problems there. I also read here on the forum that i needed to install daemon tools lite and switch the cdvd to cdvdgigaherz which I did and still nothing... the games are detected by gameex but when i start the game the screen goes black for a second and then it returns to gamex..

I am terrifyed of command line and have no clue how to use commands with gameex so I need the for dummy,s version if that is what I need to do Thanks a bunch...

Hi ibleedspeed and Welcome to the GameEx forum!

When you have a moment, please export your config for PCSX2 and post the contents here so we can take a look at what you've got so far. You can export your config directly from the GameEx Setup Wizard. Depending on the contents of your config it might also be helpful to take a look at your log as well as your runitgame.bat after attempting to run PCSX2,

Here are the instructions on how to access all that info.

Also when the pcsx2 revision that GameEx downloaded failed to fire I went ahead and replaced revision 1.0 with a newer revision that I have been using 2.1.1 and I did so by deleting all the files in the pcsx2 folder that gameex made and replaced them with the newer ones.. again the emu runs fine in windows...

Edit where do I find this "runitgame.bat" file again?

and here is log right after pcsx2 launch attempt...

Sorry! problem resolved... the pcsx2.exe was incorrectly named....it had the revision number included... i simply renamed the file correctly and it works now...I got confused because I moved it after I installed daemon tools lite...

again sorry for wasting forum space... now to sort out epsxe... thanks again..

You actually did some pretty good self-troubleshooting there in the end. And you probably learnt a few things along the way. I'd hardly call that a waste of forum space! :)

Glad you sorted that out and please, if you need any more assistance, don't hesitate to "waste" some more space :D
