[NEWS] Forum and registration updates.

In order to enhnance the experience, build and reward the community and allow for the future we have integrated GameEx registrations with our online community.

GameEx registration now includes various additional online extras. We are also providing a means to obtain these additional benefits for other members of the community.

The good news is, is if you have a valid gameex registration regardless of when you got it you get the online upgrade for free.

We have imported most of our existing members into the new GameEx member groups in the forum.

For automatic promotion all that is needed is for your email on the forum to match the email your registration key was sent to. Please update it and/or signup to the community. If you no longer have access to that email address and have a lifetime license or active 1 year license please send a copy of your receipt in entirety to [email protected] for manual update.

The future, is in you, our community, thank you.

Unfortunatly with these changes the GameEx sale is now over.

A small question: I have two lifetimetime licenses, an old license (2011) and another from this summer, but both with the same e-mail, is there any problem with this?

And sorry for my english, I'm spanish

Hi centurion60 and Welcome to the GameEx forums!

No need to apologize, your English reads perfectly (and is exponentially better than my Spanish!). In order to answer your question I need to defer back to Tom's statement:

From what I'm seeing today it appears that current Lifetime Licenses have been transferred to the GameEx Lifetime Member member group on the forums. I see that you are still shown as being in the Basic Member group which means (at least for the purpose of the forums) you are not being shown as a current lifetime license holder. Please bear in mind that going forward your GameEx license is inextricably linked to your forum account, so you need to be sure that the email you registered with on the forum is the same email address you used to register GameEx. If that is not the case (or you believe there may be some other issue) I would recommend contacting Tom at the email address given in the quote in order to resolve the matter (please remember to include your most recent receipt for GameEx in the message).

A quick question if i may - is my online functionality going to be ok as i was in the beta and therefore already have a GameEx Online presence?

In all honesty i think i registered two different emails with my forum vs license and i don't have access to either anymore. I've since changed my forum email to one i actually use, so if i purchase a new license when Evo arrives, using my current email, will that be sufficient?

Dude!

Not to speak out of place, but given you're "Dazzle", I think your already good to go! They have ways of getting in touch with you! :P

...........

Given that GameEx has been actively supported for so long, what 10 years almost(?), it's cool to see that such a reasonable pricing model has been released with a new version on the horizon right in front of us.

I can't imagine what's moving and shaking behind the scenes to make this all come into place, but never the less, thanks for the effort involved in making this happen!

I'm sorry, could you clarify this point. If I still use the E-mail address I did when I registered do I need to do anything, or will I be automatically imported? The reason I ask is that this morning I noticed my upload limit dropped from nearly 500Mb to 7Mb! I thought it might be related to my needing to re-verify my e-mail or something, IDK.

Thanks Tom, keep up the hard work.

Your a contributor so this does not apply to you. You should have a 500mb upload limit and receive a free GameEx Evo License. If you don't it will be some issue I will fix.

Edit: I think you might be confused with the maximum size of a single file you can upload. I may have adjusted that as it could have been subject to abuse.

I am trying not to sound dumb (although that just made me sound dumb :P), and I have searched for a bit, but I am still very confused... I am not sure what Evolution will include (other than what that very fast video shows), and whats different from the regular GameEx, but if I am not interested in upgrading, what does it mean for us "lifetime members" of regular GameEx, do we still get updates? or is that the end of the line?

I am not sure when I got my license, but I am sure it was before September 1st, 2013, when I search in the client area it says I haven't bought anything yet :P

More than likely there will be some limited support of the current GameEx frontend, however, I would not expect that support to continue for very long after Evolution is released. A lot of time and energy is being expended to get Evolution ready for testing and release while supporting the current GameEx frontend.

I cannot answer for Tom, but if I were in charge of support for what will then be considered a "legacy" product, that support would not be long-lived as the goal to to have the community "evolve" and move on to the new product/service model.
