[RESOLVED] No "Update List" option under MAME heading

Hello,

If I go to check my MAME ROMs, it shows all of the ROMs I have in the MAME ROM directory... but they are all named exactly what the actual filenames are named.

They also have no artwork displaying whatsoever.

I assume that this is solved by using the "Update List" option that I keep reading about all over the forums, correct?

The problem is, that option does not exist anywhere on any menu, certainly not the MAME menu.

Even more infuriating is that randomly the list of files I have disappears entirely and GameEx reverts to showing the 4 games included with artwork in the \GAMEEX\DEMO\ directory. There is absolutely NOTHING in my config that points to these files. Why would it do this?

Here's what I see instead of a proper listing of MAME ROMs and the menu listing showing no option to UPDATE LIST. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi! Have you gone to the Enable/Disable features section of the Setup Wizard to verify that Hide Update List is set to No vs. Yes? Also, Update List will appear at the bottom of the list when using the integrated MAME feature.

Another question - is your GameEx installed to c:\GameEx? If so, do you have full admin rights?

I think we can mark this as [RESOLVED]

What I ended up doing was loading a different skin - the UPDATE LIST option then presented itself.

For the record, I am using GameEx in the directory F:\GAMING\GAMEEX\
