RelicUK
Hi all, I have been using GamEx for about a week and I love it I just have 1 niggle that I can’t seem to sort out and was wondering if anyone could help.I’ve started to try multi disc playstation games, so for example if I have ‘Resident Evil 2 (Leon Disc).bin’ and ‘Resident Evil 2 (Claire Disc).bin’ and I enable the option ‘merge sets’ in the wizard it now just says ‘Resident Evil 2’ in my games list and when I access it I have the option to select which disc to load, which is great! My problem is there is no artwork displaying when I scroll over ‘Resident Evil 2’ in my games list, the artwork only appears when I go into it and scroll over ‘box’. I use the emumovies download service utility to download artwork and I’m aware of how it works, it scans for files and downloads artwork and names it the same as your image file so for example I have ‘Resident Evil 2 (Leon Disc).jpg’ and ‘Resident Evil 2 (Claire Disc).jpg’ in the background folder.I tried renaming the files to just ‘Resident Evil 2.jpg’ but this has not worked. Is there any way I can see all the artwork when I scroll over ‘Resident Evil 2’ in my main games list?? Or is there any other way I should be managing my multi disc games? Adultery
My personal preference is to just 7-zip them together and use the artwork downloader to get the snaps, and then set the 'zip/7zip/rar' option on GameEx's advanced emulator setup. Admittedly thats probably not the solution you were looking for.
RelicUK
Thanks for the quick reply but this still does not work, I z7ipped the bins up and re-downloaded the artwork but it still does not display the artwork when i scroll over 'Resident Evil 2'. Even if i turn merge sets off
Draco1962
Image names match the file names? Is it possible that the image downloader is saving the images to a different path than you have setup for your snaps? You might want to provide us with copies of your gameex.ini, emulator config, and log.txt so we can take a close look from that perspective. Thanks! RelicUK
I've figured it out! it was because there was no snap image downloading for resident evil 2, i didn't realise you had to have a snap image or else all other artwork would not would not display, i thought the other artwork would show regardless, didn't think the snap was so important! So I googled an image of resident evil 2 and stuck it in my snap folder and now all artwork shows up when i scroll over it! brilliant! learn something new every day Thanks for trying to help though guys, knew i was just gonna be outed as a big noob lol
