Why is this happening? I tried downloading the source twice in each distro. Any and all help is appreciated.

Never seen that error before. Wierd. I have successfully compiled MAME 0145 with Mame Compiler so I have no idea what that error is. A search on Google doesn't help either.

Aww man! :)

I've compiled every major release since you put this out. I'll try compiling it on a different machine and see if it helps any.

Thanks HK!

Clear any folders you have from the previous release and create everything from scratch. Select Auto Detect in the optimization and 64-bit Processor in addition to Dual Core.

I was having issues on this machine before (HK had to fix the NONE selection for Optimize For so it would work for me).

I use an x86 OS, so would I still want to select 64-bit?

I would say no to the 64-bit then since you are using the x86 version.

I just successfully compiled Mame 0145 again with the hiscore patch applied. I did get an error different to yours Draco but pressing Go again it continued on and finished.

EDIT: Just successfully compiled MameUI 0145 too.

Still no luck? What version of MAME do you want? 32 bit with the hiscore patch?

0.145 with hi-score patch yeah. But I was gonna try it on another machine (my dev machine is W7 64-bit with 8 GB of RAM). Just haven't had time to try it yet and too lazy to learn how to compile it myself. :)

Well color me befuddled. It works fine on my dev machine way faster at that), so I can mark this as resolved now... Although I still wonder why my cab wouldn't compile it.

Good to be back at being current though! :)

Thanks for the assist Drac & HK.

Well, cleaned everything out of the directories and downloaded fresh and this time the compile completed in about 16 mins instead of 9 and with no errors. Go figure!
