So I boot up GameEx this morning and black screen for 30 seconds or so and then GameEx starts. Looks like that same issue we had awhile back is starting again.

It doesn't happen to me... I dunno what the cause could be...

And by the way, video playback works for me now, after Tom's recent effort with video codecs...

Do you keep your machine on 24/7? Sometimes a driver or .dll will get a bit wonky and a reboot resolves the issue.

No I always shut it down, but sometimes I get quirky things like the mouse won't work and have to reboot then everything works. This is after a fresh install of windows it still get quirky things like this. Also this morning when I booted up Steam seamed to ask me for my password and username for some reason which it's never done that before. Then tonight everything is running great ... computers!

You might need to ensure that your applications are set to run as admin and that should help with some of the issues. I pretty much do this by default when installing new programs or reinstalling existing ones.

Trust me they are ;) as I install everything as Administrator if not I make sure it's checked.

This morning everything is good.
