It seems that I'm not able to play a video just after lauching GameEx. Ask me if you need my whole config file, but AFAIK the relevant entry is:

StartUpVideo=F:\MEDIA\Video\Video musicali\Genesis

Setup Wizard detects and shows this path correctly. I've tried with several videos and directories, with media files I can normally play in GameEx. If you notice my log, it seems that GameEx simply skips this step:

Log:
Spoiler

Please, what do you guys think? Am I missing something or what?

I am not entirely sure what the issue is but I can confirm startup videos work for me in the current version on XP with vista codecs.

:P Nevermind. I figured it out.

I use to change theme quite often. It turned out that my current Theme.ini (from Space Invaders) had StartupVideo=False by default. Curiously, setting it to "True" doesn't change a thing. Only removing the entry entirely gives priority to GameEx.ini, and so my video shows up as expected now.

You can mark this as "resolved"!
