Hello to all

I can't understand why I don't have the same game list whit Mame on the first page and Mame as an emulator ?

I've checked pathes config seems to be ok.

Note I have only one version of Mame.

Thanks by advance for your help

Seb

I'm sure it has to do with filters. Filters can fine tune your list so if you have setup as an emulator, it will list every rom you have where as setup in MAME, it can filter out some games depending on your selection.

Seb - I believe this was addressed by Tom in this thread. When running MAME through the default GameEx MAME setup, you will not see all 10,000+ ROMS listed as GameEx filters out the mechanical games which will likely never run. Read the entire thread linked for a better understanding.

When running as an emulator, you will see more. Unfortunately, just because you see it listed doesn't mean it will work - broken is broken whether we see something or not.

Yes, configuring MAME "as MAME" in GameEx means that the FrontEnd has the ability to read history.dat, mameinfo.dat, catver.ini, etc... and filters the roms accordigly. Setting up MAME as an emulator like others is a completely different matter.

So my .dat files should be bad because in Mame I only have à max of 118 games and as an emul around 10800.

How to get correct files ?

@Seb:
Post your configuration file (found in GameEx\CONFIG\ folder), according to these instructions: http://www.gameex.in...o-ask-for-help/.

This way we can see what kind of fileters are on. I agree with fReq, this can't be due to anything other than a filtering setting.
