There's a selection to disable opening animation (can't remember the exact verbiage) in the setup.

This wasn't working:

Display Settings - Start Page Zoom animation - yes/no

However I edited the theme.ini to read "skipintro=True" (was false)

So, all working now :)

The intro and Start Page Zoom animation are two different settings. ;)

I would just to add that, in general, entries in Theme.ini, where identical, always take precedence over GameEx.ini. At least as far as I have experieced until now.

Alpha - you are correct. If the same settings exist within the gameex.ini and the theme.ini, then the theme.ini settings will take precedence.

Is it possible to disable the news feed that scrolls at the bottom of the main page in this theme?

Yes - Load the theme in Theme Editor, click on Options and look for the News Feed option and deselect, click OK and save to apply the changes.

Hi Draco. Thx for the info! I couldn't find the news feed "option" that u were talking about. However, I was able to clear out the URL that was providing the news for the start page by going to "Edit" --> "Scroller". So that did offer a similar solution. And I was even able to put in my own custom text for that field which was kinda cool. :-)

My apologies as I miss-posted about the location. It is under Edit >Scroller in Theme Editor. That's what I get for posting during breaks while at work. B) So you did find it and were able to resolve your issue - very cool!

No worries at all. U pointed me in the right direction w/ the Theme Editor. I was thinking it could be shut down from the Setup Wizard. Still trying 2 familiarize myself w/ which program controls what. Lol! :)
