  1. No problem! Glad I got this and the other issue resolved and my cab back to good! Thanks for the help and quick responses.
  2. Phew...ok. Few things I've learned in getting this working. LAV Settings: Installed the entire package, all 4 (x64 and 32). Open the video config and deselected ALL output formats. That got it showing in GameEx. Also, turning on the tray icons can be done to make sure things are processing through LAV correctly. Windowing GameEx: Three settings need to be set - one isn't obvious. First, in the display settings you need to set it to windowed mode and a smaller resolution - HOWEVER (and this is non-intuitive) you also need to make sure in the advanced settings you ALLOW resizing of the window, otherwise it locks to your last resolution (and when you go back into SettingWizard, it'll say full screen etc.) Unlocking/capturing mouse in GameEx window: You must have NO mouse/trackball/etc. inputs enabled or GameEx will 'capture' the mouse/cursor and pull it back to itself when windowed, stopping you from using other windows, testing, etc. So...that's how I got it working.
  3. Ok, so...it's not that easy. Seems like doing the tweaks I did (using LAV as the splitter, uninstalling one version) actually got it working in WMP - but no video is playing in GameEx still. Is there a way (outside of restarting gameex over and over) of tweaking settings to try to figure out what might make it work?
  4. Figured it out (but the video issue actually is still occuring). SO.... If people get this issue, it's because when updating GameEx may automatically install the 64-bit version even if you have the 32-bit version installed. It seems this causes an issue with SetupWizard. Reinstalling from a downloaded version and unchecking 64-bit version fixes it and it works fine again.
  5. Ok, tried the following: Renaming my GameEx folder and installing 15.65 again. Reinstalling 15.64, that didn't work (was up on MajorGeeks) Tried deleting SetupWizard.exe to make sure the newest version was actually getting installed. Tried running setup as admin. The log isn't even getting generated so I'm a bit baffled as to what's going on.... Here's the fun part - I have a old copy of 14.7 - I installed that. SetupWizard starts fine. So...it's something that changed or a requirement difference between there. VB version maybe or something there?
  6. Just upgraded and this started. Did an in GameEx update first and then an install from download as well. Tried to attach GameEx.ini but getting an error from the forum. Edit for additional info. SetupWizard ran fine last night after the 15.64 update when I switched to regular snaps vs. video snaps due to the video issue I was having per my other thread. Fixed the video issue and got them playing in WMP, so opened GameEx to confirm it worked there - forgetting that I changed to static pictures. GameEx asked to update, so I did. Figured such a quick new push would be a needed fix. Exited out, tried to start SetupWizard, crashed immediately. Restarted the computer, tried again and still crashed. Downloaded latest GameEx, installed from there. Still getting the crash. Tried running SetupWizard directly from the GameEx install directory with no luck. Checked GamEx.ini and it looks fine - no corruption of the file w/any odd insertions of non-text config info and the backup from the install is the same as the actual gameex.ini. GameEx opens and runs fine. This is the error that comes up in the crash window in Windows. Can't get a screenshot because the wireless handheld keyboard I use on my cab doesn't have a print screen key. 7. thanks for the guidance. uninstalling the 32bit version amd enabling the 64bit did it!
  8. Thanks for the quick reply Tom. And HRM. I have the LAV codecs installed. Even went so far as to uninstall and reinstall them to test. No idea what else could be causing it. There is ONE other change that was made that could be causing it (what video out I use off my MB - HDMI vs VGA), which seems a stretch but I'll try switching back and seeing. I switched to put a video processor to deal with my cab (it's got a mirror in it) better so I don't need to invert everything anymore...that COULD have screwed things up and I didn't notice somehow.
  9. Wanted to just check if there was a change from some internal engine to the WMP engine in the latest GameEx update? Updated last night and my videos aren't playing. They are Progetto video snaps, and I know they have issues with WMP, but they were working previously so just trying to identify the issue. (Or, similar question - is there a setting that may have changed that would make them not work - maybe a video player toggle of some sort in settings?) Thanks in advance for the insight/help!
  10. Nevermind, got it! For anyone that comes across this - just so it's not a dead thread - the list doesn't autopopulate. The name is derived from the name you enter. So, just use rom name and command line arguments and all is good.
  11. Trying to get Daphne setup again after reconfiguring awhile back and - from what I remember - the list of games in the Daphne UI should autopopulate in the Config program once you enter the daphne.exe location, correct? If not, when does it populate? Just trying to get this setup again and I can't recall, for the life of me, how I did this originally.
  12. And, that is it! Definitely recommend adding something to the tooltip there because I NEVER would have guessed it otherwise. Unfortunately, this didn't actually help with CPWizard - still being flaky on when it displays and when it doesn't. With a windowed setup it's fine, but with either fullscreen option it seems to show semi-randomly. Going to have to test more and discuss with HeadKaze. Thank you again for the help!
  13. It is (and was above for the logs). It's set as disabled. I reset it and tried it both set to 'Windowed' and 'Disabled' again, no change. I confirmed that it's set as disabled in my ini as well (given it's the last line), so that seems to be getting set by the Settings Wizard.
  14. Some additional logs. A pre-run and a post-run ini are attached. Only differences (using diffchecker.com) are: timesruncount=16 --> timesruncount=17 startpagethumbscount=4 --> startpagethumbscount=5 windowed=True --> windowed=False Not certain what's happening or causing it. The log, where I just ran GameEx and immediately exited, is attached also. GameEx - Post.ini GameEx - Pre.ini log.txt
  15. Yes. Does CPViewer modify the GameEx.ini in anyway? Because that's being reverted to the original setting.
